Facebook is migrating from Friendship and Likes to Love and Romance.
Facebook has launched its dating services in the United States, the company announced on Thursday, sending its shares up 2%.
Facebook Inc, the parent company of Instagram, said the dating site will have a feature for users to integrate their Instagram account with Facebook dating profile and add Instagram followers to their Secret Crush lists, a feature that will allow users to explore potential romantic relationships within their friend circle.
The social network site said the dating service would be optional for Facebook users, adding that dating activity of users will not appear on their profile or news feed.
Facebook is launching the dating service first in the United States, then in Europe by early 2020, followed by 20 other countries where it operates.
