The world’s richest man achieved his $44 billion purchase of the social-media platform on Thursday after a months-long back-and-forth.
Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur, celebrated on Twitter, tweeting that he was “looking forward” to the Elon Musk interval.
“He is a ready, fire, aim entrepreneur who will truly enjoy fucking with everyone who has an expectation of him,” Cuban talked about. “The only expectation you can have of @elonmusk is that he will flex his independence to show everyone who’s in charge.”
Cuban talked about in 2020 that he had bought more stake in Twitter, saying that he’s a “long-term holder there.”
“I owned shares going into this decline,” Cuban talked about, relating to the stock market’s tumble amid the pandemic. “I don’t know what’s going to happen or when, but I think long-term we’ll be okay.”
Cuban talked about in a since-deleted tweet in April, when Musk first launched he was looking to buy Twitter, that he was “very surprised” by the move and that Musk was “on the clock.”
He moreover tweeted in April, in response to Musk’s preliminary present, that “every major tech company” was “on the phone with their anti trust lawyers asking if they can buy Twitter and get it approved.”
“And Twitter is on the phone with their lawyers asking which can be their white knight,” he added. “Gonna be interesting.”
Musk didn’t take prolonged to put his stamp on Twitter, firing several executives, along with CEO Parag Agrawal.
